Supervision & Consultation for Adolescent Therapists
Dr. Robin Barre, PhD, is a depth psychotherapist, trauma specialist, and IFS-Institute approved consultant who has spent nearly 30 years working with adolescents. She offers clinical supervision and consultation for adolescent therapists, individually and in groups.
Deepen your work with adolescents, with someone in your corner.
The therapists who work with adolescents are some of the most dedicated people around. But skill alone can only carry you so far when the work is this demanding, and this solitary. Sound familiar?
Holding complex, high-stakes cases on your own, with no one to think them through with
Adolescent clients who resist, test, or go quiet, and no clear map for meeting them
The gaps your graduate training left around working with teens
Second-guessing your calls with high-risk or complex-trauma clients
Burnout, and the quiet weight of vicarious trauma
None of this means you are not good at your work. It means this work is genuinely hard, and no one should carry it alone. That is what supervision and consultation are for.
Which path is right for you?
Two ways to work with Robin. Supervision is tied to licensure and your state. Consultation is about deepening your skill with adolescent clients, and it is available anywhere.
Clinical Supervision
Accrue supervision hours toward licensure with an approved supervisor. For associate and licensed therapists in Washington and Virginia.
Consultation for Adolescent Therapists
Sharpen your work with teen clients, wherever you practice and whatever your modality. Individually or in a group.
Consultation for Adolescent Therapists
Adolescence is its own territory, and most graduate programs barely map it. Consultation with Robin fills those gaps, whether you are newly licensed or years in, an IFS therapist or not. Available to therapists nationally and globally, for anyone working with clients roughly 12 to 23.

Decades spent learning the language of adolescence
Robin has spent her career learning the language of adolescence. Over more than 20 years as a therapist, preceded by almost a decade teaching 12 to 21 year olds, she has come to know this stage as its own territory, with its own logic, one most graduate programs barely map. She helps therapists tell everyday adolescence apart from genuine pathology, understand the essential nature of this developmental crossing, and meet teen clients as a guide and companion.
Her lens brings together depth and archetypal psychology, her clinical training, and Level 3 IFS certification. Therapists seek her out for her depth with teenagers, and they keep coming back for how much lighter and less alone the work feels with her alongside them.

"Dr. Robin Barre is the foremost expert in adolescent psychology... As an advocate for the adolescent in all of us, she understands the forgotten language of this part of life, those bridge years in between childhood and in becoming an adult, and provides guidance into how to reclaim the exiled self."
Brenda Littleton, Jungian Coach & MFT
"Robin is a sensitive, down to earth, knowledgeable supervisor with a wealth of wisdom that she generously shares with the group. We have all grown as practitioners..."
A consultation group member
"Dr. Barre's use of didactics, demonstrations, and dyadic practice facilitated more understanding of the principle of IFS and the therapeutic steps than 4 workshops with PESI did for me!"
Nancy MacConnachie, Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist
