IFS Consultation Groups

2027 Waitlist open

Advance your IFS practice with peer and expert guidance

Collaborative growth and expert mentorship for therapists and mental health practitioners practicing Internal Family Systems.

Mastering IFS takes time, practice, and the right support. In a consultation group led by Dr. Robin Barre, you get all three: expert guidance, a community of peers, and regular space to bring your real cases and questions. Whether you are new to IFS or years into practice, you will gain confidence using your IFS skills and connection with other professionals.. It is a place to become a more confident, more supported IFS practitioner.

What's included

Our consultation group is a nurturing, structured space to deepen your understanding and application of IFS concepts, protocols, and theory. Robin also draws on her background in Jungian and archetypal psychology to enrich the work. Groups meet monthly via Zoom and explore areas like child and adolescent development, complex trauma, unattached burdens, family dynamics, and, of course, our parts. You will come away better equipped to apply IFS across contexts, navigate hard moments, and stay in compassionate relationship with your protector parts, therapist parts, and Self-resourcing parts. Here is what each session looks like:

Intentional beginning

We begin by mindfully arriving into the virtual space with a quiet check-in, a moment to speak for any parts or issues relevant to the session, so the facilitator can hold the right space for the group.

Case discussions

With a maximum of six participants and three case presentations each session, there is dedicated time to present cases, ask questions, and explore challenges. Members offer their perspectives, validation, and insights, and Dr. Barre follows with her guidance, suggestions, and resources to help you find clarity and direction.

Closing and next steps

We close each session with gratitude and confirm our next meeting, so you leave with a sense of direction and purpose. Sessions are recorded for your reference throughout the eight-month program.

Who should join

This group is ideal for therapists and mental health practitioners who have completed Level 1 IFS training and want to deepen their practice. Whether you are just beginning to integrate IFS or you are experienced and looking for a supportive community, this is a place to grow. Your live attendance counts toward the IFS Institute's criteria for certification as an IFS therapist. If you are a practitioner rather than a therapist, Dr. Barre will work with you to determine how the hours qualify.

All levels of experience are welcome. A beginner's mind, open and curious, is just as valuable as seasoned experience in a rich, collaborative space.
