Free 15 Minute Consultation If you have questions, would like to inquire further about my services, or need to further assess if we are a good fit, I offer a free 15 minute initial consultation by phone.

I will return your call or email within 24 hours to schedule our call. There is no charge for this service.
30 Minute Consultation After speaking on the phone or after communicating via email, it may be that you would like to schedule a 30 minute in-office consultation to further discern if we are a good fit. The fee for the 30 minute session is $60.
We will schedule this at the time of our initial phone call or via email.
I require a $60 scheduling fee for our first in-office meeting. I do not require a scheduling fee after our first session.
I will collect your credit card information over the phone and will bill the card as soon as we have a session scheduled. The credit card information goes into my electronic health record, Simple Practice, which is secure and HIPAA compliant.
The scheduling fee is then put toward your first in-office session. If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance of your initial session, there is a full refund. If you cancel less than 24 hours or do not show, then the scheduling fee is not refunded. If we decide not to move forward, then I delete your information from the health record in addition to your credit card information.
If we move forward with the therapy, then your credit card remains on file in the electronic health record. If your sessions are covered by insurance, then after the insurance company reimburses for your first session, the scheduling fee of $60 will be refunded.
60 Minute Consultation/Session Some prospective clients may want to go ahead and schedule a full 60 minute session to thoroughly discern if we are a good fit, or we may have decided that we are ready to begin the therapy after the initial phone consultation. In which case, we will schedule this session at the time of our phone call or via email.
As with the 30 minute consultation, if this is our first in-office meeting, then I require a $60 scheduling fee. This is then deducted from the fee of $120 for the 60 minute consultation. If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance of your initial session, there is a full refund. If you cancel less than 24 hours or do not show, then the scheduling fee is not refunded.
If we move forward with the therapy, then your credit card remains on file in the electronic health record. If your sessions are covered by insurance, then after the insurance company reimburses for your first session, then the initial $60 will be refunded.
Insurance or Self-Pay Before you decide to move forward with the therapy in earnest, it will be important for you to check with your insurance company regarding coverage.

If you have other insurance coverage, you may want to contact your insurance company to find out if they will accept out-of-network claims from mental health therapy.
Out-of network services require full payment at the time of our sessions. You may be able to put your therapy fees toward your deductible and/or be reimbursed by your insurance company. Please check with them to find out what your options are. I provide the paperwork from my company that you will need to submit for your claims. You most likely will also need to submit paperwork from your insurance company as well.
Otherwise, you are welcome to pay for your therapy without going the insurance route. In which case, I accept cash, credit, or check.
Finances are a critical component in the therapy work. It is part of the therapeutic "container" and the therapeutic boundaries that are vital for the work we will do. Please feel free to check with me for any clarification or information that I might be able to assist you with in this process.
Confirmation Email and Forms Once the scheduling fee has been processed and our session is scheduled, I will send you an email confirming your appointment. I will also attach the relevant documents for you to review before our session. I will ask for your reply to let me know that you have received the email and are indeed ready to proceed with the therapy.
